InterContinental Hotels Group has re-launched in the Bangladeshi market with its latest opening in the capital, the InterContinental Dhaka, Bangladesh. The hotel offers 226 guest rooms including 25 suites and facilities such as a club lounge, temperature-controlled swimming pool overlooking Ramna Park, a steam room, sauna and spa. Dining options include five F&B outlets that offer a variety of cuisines – an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, lobby cafe and pool bar. For meetings, the property offers more than 1,950 sq m of space across two ballrooms and seven meeting rooms, all equipped with the latest audio-visual technology. The hotel is situated close to the central business district as well as the university, hospitals and major shopping malls
The Four Seasons Hotel Singapore has completed its year-long room renewal programme of its 225 guestrooms including four suites.
All refurbished rooms and suites now boast large floor-to-ceiling windows, providing sweeping views of the city and allowing plenty of natural light. In addition, the design of the four suites – the Royal Suite, Governor Suite, Ambassador Suite and the Presidential Suite – takes a leaf from Singapore’s history.
The Royal Suite on the 18th floor is inspired by the nearby Singapore Botanic Gardens, while the 19th floor Ambassador Suite is as colourful and rich as the Peranakan (Straits Chinese) culture it takes after. Aside from F&B venues such as the one Michelin star Jiang-Nan Chun, other amenities include the Four Seasons Spa, rooftop pool on the 20th floor, four tennis courts and a fitness centre.

AccorHotels, in partnership with InterGlobe Hotels, has announced the launch of their economy brand in Kolkata with the opening of ibis Kolkata Rajarhat. Ibis Kolkata Rajarhat will set the standard for some of the future ibis hotels in India, with new features including a sleeker and more colourful facade that breaks away from the traditional standardised monochrome exterior and more colourful rooms with wider windows and better beds.
Ibis Kolkata Rajarhat offers 189 rooms, taking the ibis brand to 19 hotels across 13 cities with over 3,000 rooms. Kolkata as a destination has seen a large influx of travellers for business and leisure.
