MindMeeting, based in the Netherlands, and Taiwan-based Asia Concentrate Corporation (ACC), have formed a 50-50 joint venture meeting design services specialist company called Orange Gibbon.
MindMeeting, which was founded in 2003, specialises in designing international meetings’ and has offices in Spain and India with plans to commence operations soon in Ecuador. ACC’s co-founder and owner Pairry Chiang said: “Most meetings now are conducted only to utilise budgets”, but says she hopes to “go one step further.” MindMeeting’s Meeting Design solution will help ACC to achieve better meetings for clients.
MindMeeting’s co-founder, owner and managing partner, Mike van der Vijver said his workshops and training programmes in Taiwan to increase awareness about well-designed meetings and conferences have yielded results.
Orange Gibbon will stage the inaugural Meeting Design Week. The event will feature programmes including meeting design training, conducted in cooperation with universities. The intent is not to compete with other destinations with the hardware but to provide greater value through design and software to ensure greater efficacy and acceptability through seamless conference design.
