Accor to manage Jaipur’s new convention centre

The new Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC), Rajasthan’s biggest convention and exhibition centre will be managed by Accor Hotels.
JECC, that opened late last October, with a 110,000 square feet exhibition centre and a 30,000 square feet convention centre has now also opened its second exhibition centre which has already debuted with the India Stonemart 2015 organised last month.
JECC now boasts of a massive 250,000 square feet of combined meeting and exhibition area.

Commenting on the latest development, Chairman of Dangayach Group, Hari Mohan Dangayach and one of the co-owners of Pink City Diligent Pvt. Ltd., the consortium that owns JECC, said, “Accor is a well established name as a hotel management company globally. In India, besides hotel, they are also currently managing convention centres in Hyderabad and Lavasa and have great expertise in this field. Through this tie-up we expect that JECC will benefit from international brand recognition of Accor and will also help bring international events to JECC.”

JECC, since its opening in October 2014, has already organised events such as Vastara, a comprehensive trade fair and conference on textile and apparel; Jaipur Jewellery Show, an exhibition on Gems and jewellery and most recently India Stonemart 2015, the largest international exposition of the stone industry, that attracted close to 500 buyers including over 150 from overseas.

Once fully ready, Jaipur will also house two hotels -a four star and five star properties, along with commercial and entertainment space. Spread over 42 acres, JECC is located at Sitapura, a prominent industrial area in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
