When Vodafone, one of the largest mobile phone and data service providers in India, decided to reward 113 of their best performers in sales, marketing, distribution and business services divisions, they decided on Munich and Prague as these cities were perceived as attractive destinations by the target group.
Named the Vodafone Strike Force 2017, the event was devised and executed by Maximus MICE and Media Solutions in just 25 days and the offsite was aptly themed as the Strike Force Army: Mission Prague – evolving from the historic contribution of Munich and Prague in the World Wars and encapsulating the present-day contribution of the Vodafone employees in the accomplishment of their targets.
Sunil Sood, Vodaphone managing director and ceo, who was extremely happy with the result of the incentive for their 113 top performers, said: “Our new brand positioning emphasizes Vodafone’s mission and purpose to help customers and communities adapt, navigate and prosper from the remarkable new trends reshaping the world.” He said the reward for good performance in an exclusive event would spur the performers to greater heights.
Commenting on the incentive tour for Vodafone, Dhanraj Madnani, senior manager business development and client servicing for Maximus MICE and Media Solutions said: “With the intention of providing the Strike Force with a memorable incentive, Maximus successfully handled all aspects of the offsite including visas, travel and logistics, accommodation, experience design, collaterals, branding set and stage design, entertainment and hospitality while managing to do so in a short time span.”
Strike Force was an exciting incentive, beginning in Munich in the heart of Bavaria where guests experienced the sensational activity of Flying Fox – Zip lining across the Olympic Stadium, rode a cogwheel train to the highest peak of Germany, indulged in snow sledging and hiked in the mountain near the summit of Zugspitze as well as visiting the magnificent BMW Welt.
Their last day in Munich coincided with the first day of the Oktoberfest 2017 and the guests were taken to the festival venues and treated to the unforgettable experience of tasting some of the best Bavarian Beers, going on exhilarating rides and tasting delicious local food. The group then travelled to the historic and beautiful city of Prague, the Czech Republic capital, where the guests had the opportunity to experience a majestic dinner in a medieval tavern, visit a military camp for ride in a military tank and attempt clay pigeon shooting and have lunch at one of the oldest breweries of Prague, U Fleku, where beer has been brewed for almost 500 years.
For the gala dinner, the group was transported through the city of Prague in vintage cars to one of the most beautiful venues of the city, the neo-renaissance National House of Vinohrady. On this evening, the senior management participated to add an edge in motivating their top performers. Sunil Sood, managing director and ceo of Vodafone India, and Balesh Sharma, coo of Vodafone India, participated in the event.
Each guest was welcomed by a formal salutation and a militant capping ceremony. They then stepped into the Mayakovsky Hall where the gala night commenced and the stage was set for an entertaining evening to enhance the atmosphere of the rewards and recognition ceremony. Guinness world record-holding bubble artist Matej Kodes performed at the ceremony illustrating his remarkable abilities by drawing a bubble around two of the guests, while the entertainment for the evening included local Slovak and Arabian performances by Extravadansa. There was also a phenomenal acrobatic performance by The Losers Cirque Company, winners of Czech and Slovak Got Talent.
