Lotus chose Madrid to make sales blossom

Lotus Professional, the professional beauty division of Lotus Herbals, is a leading natural products company and aimed to engage 120 of their partners and their families through a scintillating partners’ event in Madrid. The itinerary included three days filled with conferences, a gala night, multiple exciting engagements and visits to interesting venues as well as a city tour. The business that provides state-of-the-art products, services, and education to aestheticians in leading spas and salons, appointed STORY Experiences to manage the project.

STORY Experiences began working on the brief by collating a precise 10-day pre-event communication plan for participants. It included designed ‘block your date’ invitations, teasers, a video which introduced basic words and numbers in the Spanish language and an audio message by the brand director, Nitin Passi, to generate greater excitement and anticipation amongst the attendees.

Upon arrival at the Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center in Madrid, day one began with a conference in the morning. Nitin Passi and Dipin Passi, directors of Lotus Herbals, addressed the delegates and welcomed them to the event. After lunch, a flamenco dance session was organised where the professional dancers taught the guests a few dance steps.

Following the dance session, the gala night entertained guests with flamenco dance by an expert professional troupe and the partners of Lotus Group joined the dancers putting their post-lunch training to test. The evening consisted of an award ceremony where the key partners of the brand were awarded in various categories for their achievements.

Another highlight of the evening was the creation of thematic photo-opportunity zones by the event planner which had Flamenco dancers as the backdrop. After the award ceremony, the DJ took over the music console and the party continued till the wee hours.

Day two of the event began after breakfast at the hotel with all delegates being transported for city tour. Places of interest covered in this tour were the Royal Palace, the 13th Century Cathedral of Toledo, St Tome Church and Sword Factory. The day-long tour culminated with a soccer-themed dinner at an Indian Restaurant in the city.

On day three, the guests were taken to Santiago Bernabeu, home to the famous Real Madrid football club and a tour of the stadium, galleries, restaurants, meeting venues and a glimpse of the players’ changing room. After the Real Madrid experience, guests enjoyed a tour of the famous marketplaces of the city, including Plaza Major and adjoining areas and spent some time shopping. The guests were then transferred to the airport for departure back home.

The company has hosted the Lotus Beauty Carnival for the last seven years, including one in 2017 in Madrid when they launched two new products. Nitin Passi, the 42-year old director of the brand, said that the trip to Madrid was a way of keeping in touch with their channel partners, encouraging and motivating them with awards for their performance in the last year as well as include their families in the celebrations and the experience of the event. Passi said that the company’s objective was achieved and that their partners have pledged to work towards the success of the brand’s upcoming products.
