Insurance giants pick Dubai for premium event

When one of India’s leading financial services companies wanted to motivate and reward their top 250 agents they chose Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company’s biggest international event was called ‘Marshals’ and was dressed in a semi-military theme as it celebrated the achievements of the leading agents of the insurance brand.

The glittering event took place at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai and was attended by HDFC ERGO’s top management and business agents from all over India.

A company spokesperson said it was a fitting tribute to the best performing agents.  The four-day tour included a very special awards and entertainment programme and struck the right chord with all the participants as well as the management of the company to achieve the objectives of greater motivation, a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Upon arrival in Dubai delegates were transported for lunch to an Indian restaurant. Thereafter they checked in to JW Marriott Marquis Hotel on the arterial Sheikh Zayed Road. In the late afternoon they were driven to the fringes of the desert for a desert safari which was followed by a barbecue dinner under the stars and in the dunes.

On day two after breakfast at the hotel, the participants were taken on a city tour and also visited Burj Khalifa and rode up the elevator to the viewing gallery. Lunch was at an Indian restaurant. In the afternoon, the group visited Bollywood Park, a theme park built with Bollywood film and music entertainment themes, followed by dinner at an Indian restaurant.

On day three, after breakfast the attendees were transferred by coaches to Abu Dhabi where they visited Warner Brothers World followed by lunch. Post lunch they drove back to Dubai in time for the gala dinner, entertainment and function at the hotel.

Inextis Events designed the event in a semi-military theme, inculcating a fascinating red and gold colour combination into all elements of the event to reflect grandeur. The simple stage backdrop matched perfectly with the overall theme and the sky scraper visuals were the integrated into the backdrop to signify the theme of ambition and achievement at the event. There were speakers from the top management of the company. High performers, the top 250 agents, were awarded with trophies for their achievement. International artists performed and entertainment included a live band performance, an aerial act and a ‘quick change’ act.

On day four after breakfast, the group checked out Visit Dubai Frame followed by lunch at an Indian restaurant followed by shopping at Meena Bazar and Bur Dubai before the transfer to the airport for flights back home.
