When Havells, one of the largest electrical equipment companies in India, aimed to motivate and engage their top dealers across the country with a marvellous overseas extravaganza, they chose Dubai, despite the fact that it was a one-night programme. To achieve an extraordinary event, the fast-rising brand of electrical and electronic goods hosted more than 1200 dealers for a one-day conference themed ‘Future Decoded’.
Their event management company, Story Experiences, executed the event held at the Grand Hyatt, Dubai. Since the conference was the largest conference in the brand’s history, the brief given to Story Experiences from the client was to make the event a larger-than-life escapade for its audiences, something that they will cherish for a long time.
Story Experiences proceeded with no holds barred, in terms of engaging the audience, technologically. They set up a mammoth screen size of 140×18 feet, with advanced 3D mapping to enable a thoroughly immersive experience for the attendees. Additionally, the ace Bollywood music producer Anu Mallik was tasked with composing an exclusive anthem for the conference.
The conference started with the senior managers of Havells addressing the audiences, aligning them with company goals and discussing future plans through presentations and panel discussions. An exclusive session called ‘Mann Ki Baat’ emerged as one of the key highlights of the event as it saw the brand managers of Havells engaging in one on one discussions with the attendees about the experience, problems and the future course of action about the brand.
Another highlight of the conference was a ‘Lucky Draw’ in which all the names of the guests were entered and five lucky winners from the audiences were gifted with Havells appliances.
Once the day-long conference ended, the Gala Night began with a talent competition for the dealers called ‘Havells Idol’. The competition had the attendees displaying their musical talents and the winners were judged by Anu Mallik the music composer and singer and actor Sugandha Mishra. The competition was followed by guests performing to popular Bollywood songs. The event concluded with dinner and dance.

The Havells’ management were unequivocal in their satisfaction with the success of such a large event. 1200 top performers among their channel partners being brought together in a, what was perceived as a salute to their achievements, was laudatory and hugely motivating. They expect sizable growth through enhanced effort by their dealers in the forthcoming year.
